This book is located in the Probate Court of the McIntosh County Court House, and only had up to page 10 filled out, 16 entries total.  The listing consists of a "form" certificate from the Board of Pharmacy of the State of Georgia which states the certificate number, that the persons were licensed under certain regulations that were approved on 29 September 1881 and amended 25 October 1889 that registered the applicant upon examination in conformity with an act of the General Assembly entitled an act to establish the Georgia State Board of Pharmacy and to regulate the compounding and vending of medicines, drugs, and poisons in the state of Georgia.

These licenses were for apothecaries and/or physicians to maintain or operate a pharmacy or drug store between certain dates.
