Library does not have the staff to fulfill research requests. Right now they do not have a web site, but the majority of the card catalogue is online with many other libraries around the state that are on the same system.

Extensive local and state history and records. Newspapers on microfilm from 1837 and up.

Normal hours 9am to 5pm. Tuesdays & Thursdays 8am to 8pm.

The Cemetery Division maintains three cemeteries in the City; Palmetto Cemetery, Greenwood Cemetery, and Oak Grove Cemetery. The Cemetery Office is located on Ross Rd. Lots may be purchased through the office from 8:00 am til 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. The Cemetery's are open from daylight to dusk seven days a week.
