Linda Plantation Cemetery

While the plantation home was wonderful to visit, the sites along the path to the cemetery were stunning.  The sandy banks of the Satilla River could be seen on one side while to the left were thick woods.

One of the trees appears to have been split and burned by lightning.  Regardless, it makes for an interesting picture!

Most of the King family graves in this cemetery have been moved to Homeward Cemetery in Camden County.  Only two marked graves remain:  West Sheffield and his second wife, Elizabeth Randall Sheffield.
