Coastal Georgia Genealogical Society (CGGS) Next Meeting: The Coastal Georgia Genealogical Society will meet on Sunday, March 14th, at 2:00 at the Fire Station Meeting Room, St. Simons Island, Glynn County, Georgia. The program will be "Mining for Gold...Using Valuable Collateral Lines" by Marie Santry, President of ...the Amelia Island Genealogical Society. She is an experienced researcher and has good information to share! Mark your calendar now.

The Coastal Georgia Genealogical Society is dedicated to promoting and encouraging an active interest in the science of genealogy and biographical history.  We are a small group of folks who enjoy researching genealogy and historical aspects of Coastal Georgia, and around the world.

You need not have ancestors from Glynn County to join, just an interest in genealogy, and a thirst for knowledge.

Our programs are geared at teaching and informing others about new research, internet searching, software programs, hardware [i.e. computers, cameras, scanners, etc.] and much more.  We also share our stories about how our research is coming about.

Meeting Information

Meetings are held once every two months, usually on the second or third Sunday.  We meet at the College Place United Methodist Church located at 3890 Altama Avenue, across from Jane Macon Middle School.  Meetings start at 2:00pm and run till about 4:00pm.
