About This Transcription
I have spent several months researching on
the internet and at the U.S. Copyright holdings, and have not found that
this publication was ever copyrighted. Not to mention that today,
people are selling this book in various formats. One company copied
the book and reprinted it hardbound, another company scanned the book and
is selling it as an Adobe PDF document, and yet another has it available
online for a subscription.
I have worked hard at retyping this book in
its entirety, and correcting some typos, also adding corrections that MDC
noted in her book while it was located in the public library. Some
notes were added by me from various sources and will have my name listed
by the corrections as "ALH". Those of Ms. Cate are noted with her initials "MDC".
The complete book will be on one page, so
it will take time to download, be patient. The photos, to reduce
download time, will be linked to from this document.
The public records that MDC compiled for
this book have been omitted from this online transcription as they can
already be found [or soon will be found] on this website at
Court Records and the
Cemetery pages.
